Got this to replace my Lexar Professional 133x 1GB card. Seems a little faster and much more space for my Nikon D80 pics.
My research indicated this high-performance card would shorten the time it takes between shots. Mine doesn't. It does increase the speed to download from the card to my hard drive, so for that I guess it was worth it.
I Haven't used the card much since it arrived, but it seems to be faster than a generic card when transferring.
This is the second one of these cards that I have purchased. They perform well and I have had no problems with them. Highly recommend.
SDSDX3-004G-A31: This is Sandisk's current version speed rated at 30MB/sec. I have purchased other Sandisk memory cards and like the others, Sandisk delivers. My only gripe is with the description of the product. SDSDX3-4096 Static Pack: This is the same card packaged only in an antistatic envelope2. SDSDX3-004G-E31: This lists the card correctly as a 30MB/sec but photo shows a class 6. The site continues to use a photo of the card with a card reader when apparently at some point the reader was no longer offered with the card.
There have been rebates from Sandisk for purchasing at qualified retailers.3. The card performs as so many other reviews state. Some descriptions list this as a class 6 but on Sandisk's site it is listed as class 10. After reading a few reviews, I decided to purchase this card from an Amazon third party retailer and unlike one recent reviewer who purchased directly from Amazon, the other retailer did not offer a price adjustment for the lack of the reader.Another area of confusion is the speed rating. While the technical details correctly lists the card's speed at 20MB/sec, the product description uses Sandisk's description of the current version which is rated at 30MB/sec.So to help others thinking of buying this card, here are your alternatives:1. SDSDX3-004G-P31: This lists the card correctly as a 30MB/sec class 10 but the item number is not listed on Sandisk's site.4.
This item number is also not listed on Sandisk's site. You'll have to do your own research on the retailers offering these cards.
